15 year old designs sustainable flashlight

A young lass has invented a battery-less, non-winding flashlight. It uses heat from the palm to generate current.

While most scientists focus on ridding heat, this project reversed traditional thinking and absorbed heat.

The high school science experiment began with a personal mission statement (use Amazon’s look inside feature to view Secret #1 in book title “50 Secrets of Success Powering the World’s Largest Search Engine Company”).

The inventor then wrote a singular hypothesis, mathematically proved it, and built a demo.

This is a true scientific breakthrough application made possible by combining newer technologies (low power LED, semiconductors).
